Doug Folsom

Chief Finance Officer

Doug Folsom is the Chief Finance Officer at Prosper. Prior to joining Prosper, Doug was the managing director of operations and CFO for Studeo, a national advertising agency with offices in Salt Lake City and Irvine, Calif. In this position, Doug was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the agency, including all human resource functions, and served as a member of both the senior management team and board of directors. He oversaw all financial statement preparation and reporting, including forecasting, budgeting, internal controls and various management and analysis reports. He managed the finance, production, and technology departments, comprised of fifteen professionals in two locations.

Doug has also served as president and chief operations officer of Indulgent Foods LLC, the home of Stephen's Gourmet Hot Cocoa and Mrs. Fields Premium Hot Cocoa brands, where he was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the firm as well as implementing all marketing and development strategies.

Doug has extensive finance experience with Euro RSCG Tatham Partners LLC, located in Chicago, Ill., which was a regional office for Euro RSCG Worldwide. He was responsible for designing, negotiating, and implementing the reporting structure and compensation plan for five unique agencies. He also prepared annual budgets, forecasts, monthly financial reports, and multiple management reports.

Doug has additional finance experience at Huber, Erickson & Bowman and Grant Thornton. He is a graduate of the University of Utah and is a CPA.
